- More productivity
- Increased efficiency
- Better wellbeing
The course is made up of three sessions, running over the course of a week on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday during which, we will cover:
Session 1: Understanding Remote/Asynchronous working
In the first session, we will discuss the pros and cons of remote and asynchronous working - exploring how we can capitalise on the pros without being dragged down by the cons.
We will also look at digital tools and exercises that can help us learn more about our colleagues’ needs and expectations. This is vital for increasing productivity, efficiency and collaboration in remote teams.
Session 2: OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
During our second session, we will learn about OKRs – a framework popularised by Google for transparent and collaborative goal setting. This system is a quick and effective way to define progressions for colleagues and teams against common goals. We’ll also use some online tools to create and manage this process for your team.
Session 3: Communication and Scheduling
In the third and final session, we will reflect on what we have learned through the discovery processes and draft a charter between the remote team members. Everyone will know what is expected of them and what they can expect from the organisation and their wider team.
This course is delivered remotely in 3 x 3 hour sessions with an additional 1-1 hour if required. Generally these will be on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday on a given week but alternative deliveries are available, especially if you would like to add your whole team to the training.
Are you already working remotely or about to start working remotely? Then this course is for you.
You do not need any formal qualifications or niche experience to join this course. As long as you are curious, have a desire to grow, and possess basic digital skills (I.e - can use video meeting software e.g. Zoom, email, word processors, and spreadsheets), you are more than welcome to join.
